A Four Star Movie:

Debutant Director Vijay Lalwani comes out with very realistic story of a lovable person Karthik who claims to get strange telephone calls from someone called Karthik. The telephonic karthik only helps this lovable karthik until he does not tell about him to others. Once he tell about this to other people includin his love Shonali, the whole scenario gets reversed.

Farhan Akhtar has done an excellent job on screen. He has approved why he finds him self suitable for the job. Deepika Padukone also justifies her role. She has matured as an actress.

Movie is quite intelligent and you should keep it in you must watch list....!!

A Four Star Movie:

Here is some good news for SRK’s fans. After New York and Kurbaan, based on same issue, it could have got hard for Karan and team to script a success. But they fire on all cylinders with MNIK.

The story is about Rizwan Khan who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome and he has been told by his mother that there are only two type of person; one who is good and one who is bad. He falls in love with a Hindu divorced lady Mandira (essayed by Kajol) and get married to her.

The story takes a turn after 9/11 as their son gets killed in the aftermath of the consequence. And the story begins to depict the Muslim’ conditions in the US. And this time SRK makes it touch at the bottom of your heart.

SRK seems at his best, Kajol supports quite well. Movie has got some good screen play and direction. Music makes it a pleasing experience.

Three And Half Star:

The breaking News for now turns out to be :Ram gopal Verma is back.Riding on huge star cast, Ramu Presents Rann of Media in very sensitive way and pushed the envelope in his own style.

Movie starts with Amitabh running a very honest news channel India 27*7. Everybody wants him to present the news in modern masala way but he runs on his own way. But the honest guy gets caught in his own home ground. His son Jay Malik(essayed by Sudeep) leaves his dad's way and chooses to work for the wrong leader Mohan Pandey(Played by Paresh Rawal).

Performances were too good. Sudeep worked stunning with his acting. Amitabh is as usual above all.

Go for a reality Check!!

Ishqiya- Movie Review

A Four Star Movie:

Director Abhishek Chaubey lands just in heart for those who are waiting for some witty one liners, for some good performances, for some good story line and for some good two and half hours.

The movie may receive some flak for abusive language by its lead characters but it has got some crispy story and excellent performances to latch on. Vidya Balan Plays a role of widow who keeps on giving green signals to both Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. And there is lot to be hooked on.

Arshad warsi is mind blowing with his dialogue delivery and one liners. Naseer Sir can still make you wonder at his acting abilities.

A must watch !!!

But luck is not smiling on the guy until he impresses Mohnish Behl(A movie director) to fetch his upcoming movie. But again as luck would have it, he has to miss the movie for some twist in the tale as the director wants to get the lead Hero though a talent hunt program.

The movie fails to grip you especially after intermission. Story line is loosely bounded. Music is rocking and certainly can make you dance. Just go for shahid’s Moves.

Paranormal-activity claims to be made in $15000. It seems really true with the film. The movie has been shot in one house and even eighty percent of its part has been in one single room.

Story is about a young couple who is about to get engaged. The lady is said to be hunted by some evil/demon from his childhood. She has already changed two of her old houses because of the same. His boy friend still believes that he can fight with the demon with his experiments. Then there is string of activities which end up in a dramatic ending.

Movie is just like another horror flick. Even it has been much hyped with statements like “The scariest movie ever” it does not matches with the audience expectations.

The newbie young lady plays her part well. Her boy friend Micah also seems fine with his work. Just go for a simple horror flick with fine story line and with a really outstanding end. Just go to increase your horror movie count by one.

A Two And Half Star Movie

Jugal Hansraj hits the screen with Pyaar Impossible. Movie has not claimed a grand opening due to the fact the audience is still getting idiots over Aamir.

Uday plays a role of geek who is badly in love with Priyanka the college beauty named as Alisha. Abhay(off course Uday) never expresses his love to the lady and misses a golden opportunity to get close to her as he saves him from deep water death.

After seven years (which is a long duration but still sound pretty okie with Yash Raj production keeping in mind Veer Jara with 22 years and Hum Tum with some 8 years or so…), Alisha again knocks at his door and the guy gets a glimmer of hope. But the college girl is now a divorced single mother, who requires a care taker for her 6 year old daughter. Abhay enters her house as a care taker to make a final attempt at his love.

Uday chopra made a full hearted effort to come back in bollywood. Priyanka looks stunning in shorts (fine with other dresses too). Dino Morea delivers his job well. Music is rocking.

Movie fails to hook you in the first half and hardly manages to touch you at heart in the second half. Just have a look at the movie for Priyanka’s Look.

Just one week before a spectacular bollywood year ends, if you were looking back and making a list of your favorite movies, then you have got a big tweak to be done in the list. The Guy (Aamir Khan) comes at 10th position and scores a century again with the same date (Previous Two Were Tare Zameen par and Ghajini).

Based on "FPS" by Chetan Bhagat, The movie has got every thing to hook you for three hours. Story gets three main characters as Farhan, the story teller-Maddy, Raju(Sharman Joshi) and Rancho(Aamir Khan), who lives life on his own terms inspiring everybody to live for their passion not for marks. He falls in love with Pia (Kareena Kapoor), daughter of college principle Viru Sahastrabudhhe (played by Boman Irani). Don’t worry, there is no twist of parents against child's love but yaa, this time child's love (Aamir Khan) teaches a lesson to Boman Irani in Rajkumar Hirani's style. He some how manages to let her second daughter (Mona Singh) deliver her child safely in difficult situations. Thus he wins his love.

A Five Star Movie

"We are selling it and you are taking it". The movie aired its main promo saying this. But the movie ends up in more than selling and taking. The movie has enough material in it to make you think beyond sheer selling. The concept overtakes the old methods of selling and let you know how it works today.

The movie starts with Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir kapoor) getting just over passing marks and having a celebration for his graduation. He has already made up his mind to go into "AS- A-AL- E- AS"-SALES. Soon he get his first job in a computer selling company AYS. He gets a very rude immediate boss Nitin who is a smart salesman as well who knows how to settle things right. But soon Harpreet Singh finds himself accused for his innocence and becomes a centre of ridicule in the office. Here comes the twist in the tale, when he decides to start his own company while working in the current company.

The movie has got everything, from story to performances, from sense of humor to sense of responsibility. D Santosh delivers his best performance with so many crispy one liners from time to time. Manish Chaudhary proves unmatchable as Puri. Gauhar khan also makes a point here. Shamit Amin and Jaideep Shani give collaborative evidence that their previous hit "Chak De" was not a fluke.

Ranbir could not be the "salesman of the year" but he may become "The Actor of the year" if keeps on pouring in such performances with such brilliant films. Don't let the best performance of the year…unwatched...Go and get your seats booked.

R Balki makes Amitabh Bachchan to deliver his career best performance, where Amitabh is not using his well know identity. Amitabh plays a role of 13 years old child who is suffering from the diseases Progeria making him looks like a 65 years old man. The best part with the disorder is that the 13 years old boy has got the normal mind of 13 year old. And the worst part is that children with this disorder generally don’t live more than 13-14 years and it has not got any cure so far.

The storyline is very simple and predictable but director makes it count through the excellent direction and dialogues which will enforce you to make your eyes wet in the end. Abhishek Bachchan did a fine job. Vidya Balan suits perfect to such kind of role and she also deserves a clap for the performance. Paresh Rawal as Mr. Arte remains well in his character.

Music will surely catch your ears, Screen play is sublime and the Movie and Auro are must watch.

De Dana Dan

A Two And Half Star Movie

Priyadarshan tries to repeat history with De Dana Dan. But movie could not match up with the expectations. Though the movie is a clean comedy flick with super hit combination of Akshay-Katrina and Paresh Rawal adding an extra flavor to it but they could not deliver a remembrance on audience with a poor story line and poor direction.

The movie is about two young boys Nitin Bankar (Akshay Kumar) and Ram Mishra (Sunil Shetty). Both have got girl friends but both are struggling to get some money to claim their girls. This time Priyadarshan makes them kidnap a dog to make their dreams come true. But the dog makes an escape to leave them again struggling to make a new plan.

Priyadarshan puts a lot of character into the film and creates a lot of confusion to make it a clear hit. But movie losses the grip when you find Akshay kumar locked in the room for almost one hour of the film.

Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Johny Lever and Rajpal Yadav did a good job. Nothing much was asked from ladies trio Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy. Still Neha Dhupia makes a bit contribution to the film paying a glamorous role.

Music is average. Screen play is also of medium excellence. Go and watch for the producer’s sake.

Director Renzil D’Silva comes up with a mixture of Fanna and New York. Story line is very predictable. Characters played their part pretty well but movie can’t keep your eyes on it for two and half hours.

Movie starts with professor Avantika (Kareen Kapoor) who falls in love with Ehsaan (Saif Ali Khan), who has just joined his college as a professor. Avantika gets a call from New York. Saif claims to scarify for her and moves to New York with her. Now movie takes a wild turn when Avantika finally gets to know that her husband is a terrorist and they have a master plan which is going to kill lots of Americans.

Movie tries to justify why an innocent man becomes terrorist but could not get sympathy on that part. Story is too obvious. Saif was cool as a professor and as a terrorist as well. Kareena is improving in her acting skills movie by movie. Vivek Oberoi has nothing to do in the film. Same is the case with Dia Mirza. Om puri makes a remarkable performance.

The best part of the movie is its music. All the songs are touching and you would love to listen them again and again. Second best part of the movie can be said as the chemistry between the young couple Saif and Kareena.

Producer may get his money back with opening itself but making it a hit will be a uphill task.

Rajkumar santoshi is geared up to make his strong come back with a comedy sequence similar to Andaz Apna Apna.

Prem (Ranbir Kapoor) is the president of happy club where they try to make every member happy but end up in a chaos every time. Some how gets in touch with Jenny (Katrina Kaif) and falls in love with her. Later he discovers that she is an orphan and her parents are trying to marry her with some rich guy. As usual in Hindi cinema the girl gets her ideal match in the end.

Movie has not got a freshness in terms of story line but the way it has been presented, is really incredible. Both Katrina and Ranbir give a feeling of sweetness in appearance as well as acting.

One scene in which Prem tries to say how much he loves Jenny has come up very nice. And one in which he moves like Shammi Kapoor to impress her girl Jeeny is hilarious.
The father-son play reminds of Andaz Apna Apna

Songs have already become the choice in youth. Direction is the mainstay of the film as far as pace in concerned. You won’t get bore for a minute. Go and rope in some good comedy hours to for your life.

Understandably cheered up by the huge success of Fashion Madhur Bhandarkar again hits all the right buttons with Jail.

The film is about a young man Parag Dixit (Neil Nitin Mukesh) who has got a pretty caring girl friend (Mugdha Godse).Everything seems like a perfect life until he found himself wrongly implicated in a drug case and found himself in jail.
For some time he feels he will get out of jail, as he is really innocent. But soon he begins to feel that the whole process would take lots of time. Eventually all of his stamina and temperament brakes as he gets the final verdict from the Judge.

Madhur Bhandarkar has shown the reality behind the bars. Every character plays an important role in making the film close to realism. Madhur has shown the mind set one person carries in the jail.

Cinematography is excellent. Songs are soothing. Manoj Vajpai is flawless. Arya Babbar too played his part well.

If you are a real life movie lover, then just grab your ticket on a Sunday afternoon.

A Four Star Movie:

Movie is the best buy for this Dewali. Rohit shetty comes back with a hilarious comedy.

The script has got stuff and the kind of stuff which can make you feel better for at least two and half hours. You can really forget all the meeting, can skip school and can bunk college to watch the flick.

The story line revolves around two friends veer(Fardeen Khan) and Prem(Ajay Devgan) who are trying to mischief Dharam(Sanjay Dutt). Veer is the younger brother to Dharam and in trying to make more pocket money he pretends to be married. All the stuff becomes crazy when all of a sudden Dharam comes to visit Goa where his younger brother lives. Here comes the twist in the tale, by mistake prem’s wife (Bipasha Basu) is mistaken as Veer’s wife and vice versa.

Sanjay dutt was cool and played his part remarkably well. Ajay devagan was superb. His comic timing is improving film by film. And both the ladies also deliver best of them.

Screen play was excellent. Dialogues were good and some one liners were more then average.

BLUE

Two and Half Star Movie:

Shot under deep blue water "Blue" would does not match up with expectations. Multi starrer film which claims to be 1000 million budgeted, fails to grip you for two hours.

Movie revolves around a ship which got sank into the ocean of Bahamas. The only person who is aware of its location is Sagar (Sanjay Dutt), who had lost his father because of the treasure in the ship. Now he does not want to look into that "Lady Blue" for any cause. His friend buoyant Aarav(Akshay) is always tries to convince him to go in search of Lady Blue but never makes a point until his master plan comes into picture.

The movie looses its way when it comes to storyline. You can easily predict the story in first half an hour. Still action scenes were amazing and Director Anthony D'Souza really deserves accolades for those sequences. The music was astonishing. A.R. Rahaman once again comes with a remarkable performance in that front.

The movie makes a point in the sense that it makes a sound presentation of under water scenes. Lara dutta looks in her best form thanks to some bikini sequences. Zayed Khan and Rahul Dev were average in performance but they did not find much to deliver.

Producer Dhillin Mehta would probably manage to fetch his money back, having akashay and sanjay dutt on board but still the action packed flick won't be able to hook you for two hours.

Still you can think to attribute action part in the blue lady and watch the film.

“Some guys are born talented” if you don’t believe the saying just go and watch the flick.The 19 year old director Ayan Mukerji and 27 year old lead hero both proved their mettle.

The movie has a very normal storyline yet so powerfully presented that makes the directors part pretty well.

The story is so about so called sleepy Siddharth Mehra (Ranbir Kapoor) who lives life on credit card. He would even take his credit card out to pay the street rickshaws. He enjoys sleeps does every thing excluding studies. On the farewell party he meets the new girl in town Ayesha (Konkona Sen.) and helps her finding her new home. Finally the boy gets failed to pass the college where all his batch mates somehow make it. So finally he has to leave his home and stay to his new friend Ayesha. As usual the boy learns to live the life and finally begs his first photography assignment. That leads him to meet his parents and love in real terms.

The movie maintains its pace through out. Music was average but still good. The direction was incredible. Konkona was effortless and looked in good nick. And above all Ranbir Kapoor makes a statement to every star son floating around.

Overall, it’s a peaceful movie with lots of learning in it.

Two and Half STAR Movie

It’s all about style...Prabhu Deva has put every single style he ever came across .As far as Direction is concerned movie is quite good. But it gives a feeling of a south movie rather than a bollywood flick. It was really uneasy to digest one man fighting against so many yard birds at this era of bollywood.

Still you can’t afford to defer seeing it because, Salman khan is staging a come back with the flick. But his wish to overhaul other khans’ will have to wait for some more time before its get true.

Movie lacked in the storyline. It seemed too old even after the secret gets revealed.

Crime is at its full swing when movie starts. Whenever a criminal is caught, the top guns will lobby the politicians to release them immeditely.But soon the police start cracking down the criminals thanks to the some new appointments .And finally they manages to nab the “Ganni” don. The don comes out of custody because of commissioner’s daughter.

Salman is stylish and impregnable. He is not risk averse. He has got the fiery temper. He works for money only till the very end.

Still the first half was lackluster. But after initial hiccups the movie gets a pace and manages to catch your attention in the next half. The stashed secret comes out in a strange way.

Ayesha Takiya looked innocent but there was nothing much to proof her mettle. So she just trickles down some tears at regular intervals.Sanjay Manjrekar steels the screen with his own effortless style.

Music is average but one or two songs will leave their marks on the audience. But the placement could have been even better then this. Cinematography was good.

You can come to give a tribute to this living style icon Salman Khan.

Riding on the back of a good storyline, Vijay Verma’s new show will make you freeze on your seats. Drama, love, seduction and finally a tad of suspense made the show very sane and digestible

Aruna did an incredible job as did Darshan Dabe. But the two who took everyone by surprise were the Navi Officer (Specially when he says with his cute face ... I have got two father in law ...One Could Be and One would be….) and Lovleen (With her Ajj katal ki raat hia …) .They will definitely crack the code in bollywood.

So finally luck is smailing for Shahid Kapoor.Its is really amazing to see how this "ankho main tera hi chehra debuted" guy Shahid has improved himself film by film. Now he can not only carry a film on his shoulders but also can make it a Mega hit. He was well fitted in both the roles. His performance was mesmerizing.
Priyanka chopra again proves her acting abilities with sweety giving you a feel of both a lovely innocent lady and sister of Bhape. Amol gupte delivered an effortless style.
Vishal bhardwaj was excellent with the direction. It really nice to see this kind of cinema from him. He is the king of this arena.
Cinematography was amazing and well planned.
Story line could have even better to make it a smash hit.
Music will let you jump out of your seat. From start till the very end it will make you sing laugh and even trickle down if required.

Imitiaz ali once again proves his dominance in direction .The dialogues are so simple and crispy that will makeyou jump out of your seat. Saif ali khan plays it cool as usual with some excellent acting stuff in climax .Deepika padukone delivered a effortless performance.
Based on the concept of love as it was in past (kal) and as it is now (aaj) ,the movie defines new way of story telling .The music was more then soothing .

Its not only because you have entered the cinema hall carrying less expectations , it’s the script and cinematography combined with excellent direction which wont allow you to squander your money on other baseless comedy flicks. Movie maintains a good pace through out two hours.

Kay kay menon worked beautifully playing a small time car thief .Rimi sen acted upto the mark.Anupman kher once again delivery more then expected. Dilip Prabhavalkar’s role was fully justified by the actor.

If you really want to see dark comedy then it’s a good to choose.

After two major poor show at the begining of the year ( cc to c and 8*10 tasveer) Akshay kumar retuns as a super stant man on the big screen but seemed help less due to poor script and direction.Movie starts off well with Akshay and Kareena ,both who are against love give some good dialough delivery and expected good acting stuff.

Akshay kumar looks good as fas as comic scens are concerned .Kareena also justies his character as a sergon looks more working as super model then sergon.Amrita could not do more then putting off her clothes.Avtabh shivedasani totally wasted himself.

Director could not justify Siverystone's role .Its was a huge show off for nothing.

Three star movie

Riding on the back of an excellent script Kabhir Khan bounces back with New York. Concept, Music and performances were fabulous. First half of the movie creates lots of expectation among audience but second half did not seem to carry those with full grace. Still Kabhir was able to lay bare FBI'S frailty against terrorism." Tune Jo Na Kaha" song will definitely spur lovers to trickle down some tears!!

Five Star Movie

Farah Akhtar delivered a rocking debut movie backed by excellent script and acting.Story of three friends, each of them fall in love at different stages of Life and every love story will touch you in the bottom of your heart.First half was full of music and fun until Sid feels that amir has taken his love to 40 yrs old in wrong way..!But the second half was more touchy and it took the audience to the height where director wanted them to take.
