Priyadarshan tries to repeat history with De Dana Dan. But movie could not match up with the expectations. Though the movie is a clean comedy flick with super hit combination of Akshay-Katrina and Paresh Rawal adding an extra flavor to it but they could not deliver a remembrance on audience with a poor story line and poor direction.
The movie is about two young boys Nitin Bankar (Akshay Kumar) and Ram Mishra (Sunil Shetty). Both have got girl friends but both are struggling to get some money to claim their girls. This time Priyadarshan makes them kidnap a dog to make their dreams come true. But the dog makes an escape to leave them again struggling to make a new plan.
Priyadarshan puts a lot of character into the film and creates a lot of confusion to make it a clear hit. But movie losses the grip when you find Akshay kumar locked in the room for almost one hour of the film.
Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Johny Lever and Rajpal Yadav did a good job. Nothing much was asked from ladies trio Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy. Still Neha Dhupia makes a bit contribution to the film paying a glamorous role.
Music is average. Screen play is also of medium excellence. Go and watch for the producer’s sake.
